Let us introduce you to Autumn Brewing Co., the first brewing company in the UK whose complete range of beers is brewed here in the UK, foregoing barley or any other gluten containing grains traditionally used for brewing, and using only NATURALLY gluten-free grain brewing malts.
Inspiration for Autumn Brewing Co. resulted from a friend of our founder, Peter Briggs, being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, a lifelong autoimmune disease caused by a reaction to gluten. Sufferers are advised to avoid food and drink which contains gluten.
The company was born out of the realisation that there are a lack of gluten-free beers available to purchase in the UK, which are brewed using only NATURALLY gluten-free grain brewing malts.
After two years of research and development, training and many small scale trial brews using different combinations of naturally gluten-free grains, we are proud to have created ALT BREW, our range of great tasting gluten-free beers.
The ALT BREW range only uses alternative brewing grains; rice, millet and quinoa to produce our gluten-free beers. The range currently consists of three fantastic beers, but we’re currently working on new recipes and have some exciting ideas up our sleeve. For now, drinkers can try our light and refreshing Bavarian Style Pilsner, a more traditional English Pale Ale, and we will be launching a Dark Roast Stout in a few months time.
As well as offering a range of flavoursome beers which are suitable for those who observe a gluten-free diet, we give all beer drinkers a tasty alternative to the barley and wheat based beers, available in the mainstream UK beer market.
